This site consists of software applications developed at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, operated by Battelle Memorial Institute.  Funded by the U.S. Department of Energy, these software products are available for commercialization as follows:
  • Direct sales of binary (executable) code to end-users with volume and site discounts.
  • Source code sold to developers to embed in their applications for internal use or resale.
  • Licensing binary code to distributors / resellers or Web application service providers.
  • Most of these software products are offered either in source code and/or executable formats. Many firms, from startups to the Fortune 500, have purchased source code and embedded it in products sold worldwide. If you have any questions, please contact us to discuss your specific needs. Our mission is to deploy these Federally-funded technologies for more widespread use.

EMSL Publisher is a Java-based word processor application suite for viewing and editing rich-text documents. The core of the suite is the EMSL Text Bean package. These beans enable users to create, edit and display rich-text documents inside a Java applet or application. These documents can be made up of text with multiple, mixed styles, and of arbitrary Java Components, allowing for nearly limitless document content. The Text Beans package includes import and export filters for plain text, RTF, HTML and a proprietary Publisher format. Developers worldwide are incorporating EMSL Publisher in their applications as an alternative to costly word processor software.
